RE-ARENGEMENT OF THE PERSONNEL IN THE DIOCESE(2016)

  1. Chancery and Chancellor ------- Fr. C. Shayo assisted by Fr. Damas Mfoi,
  2. Pastoral Department  comprises of all pastoral sodalities;  Lay apostolate, WAWATA, Youth, Children of Justice and Peace, and all other lay sodalities will be under  --  Fr. John Mfoi assisted by Fr. Richard Haki
  3. Education Department      -- Fr.  Arbogast Mushi  Executive Secretary Sr. Magdalene Muhen
  4. Department of Development – will comprise of; Interreligious dialogue, Justice and Peace, Health and Human Trafficking.  The director will be full time and is Fr. Damas Mfoi assisted by Fr. Raphael Nzalalila – Executive Secretaries – Srs. Yusta Tesha and Gaspara Shirima.
  5. Department of Finances and Diocesan Projects: will be manned by Fr. John Mchomba assisted by Sr. Domitila.

COMMISSIONS UNDER PASTORAL DEPARTMENT: 

  1. Catechesis, - Fr. Paul Mallya.
  2. Liturgy         - Fr.  Isaac Goza
  3. Children of Justice and Peace -  Fr. Richard Haki assisted by Fr. Goza and a Sr. -----
  4. Youth – Fr. Steve Macha AJ.
  5. Chaplaincy in the Hospitals, Universities, Sea Farers, Police, and Army barracks by - Fr. Raphael Nzalalila.
  6. Communications: Radio, TV, Diocesan News Letter and Diocesan Website – Fr. Richard Haki assisted by Fr. Jean Claude Malu and a Sr. ---------------------
  7. Issues of Canon law and marriages in the diocese will be under the VG – Fr. John Mfoi assisted by Fr. Cosmas Shayo.
  8. Diocesan Vocation Director :  Fr. John Mfoi.
  9. Religious Vicar and Spiritual Director in the diocese – Fr. Steve Macha AJ.
  10. School Director of Francis Maria Libermann School Fr. Arbogast Peter Mushi
  11. School Financial Controller and Accountant Fr. John Lucas Mchomba assisted by Sr. Jascinta Nabwire.
  12. Diocesan Land Issues – Fr. Paul Mallya assisted by Fr. Thomas Assenga and the diocesan Procurator – Fr. John Mchomba.

NEW APPOINTMENTS TO THE PARISHES:

  1. Fr. Richard Stanslaus Haki – Fr. In-charge of St. Joseph Cathedral (under the care of the bishop) Co-Pastor  Fr. Vincent Shio, Fr. Lucian Malamsha on Residence,  Fr. John Mchomba assists while on Residence at FMLS and Fr. Karoli Ludovick Shirima, C.S.Sp. Co-worker at the parish.
  2. Fr. Damas Alex Mfoi Fr. In-charge of the Holy Rozary Parish Co-Pastor Raphael Nzalalila.
  3. Fr. Paul Mallya Fr. In-charge of the St. Michael, Co- Pastor Fr. Amos Kibona assisted by Fr.  Arbogast Mushi
  4. Fr. Thomas Assenga  In-charge of St. Augustine Parish assisted by Fr. Cosmas Shayo and another priest in residence……………………..
  1. Fr. John Jean Cloude Mallu In-charge of St. Mark Designated Parish With Scholarstic Raymond

BISHOP’S CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL:

  3. Fr. Arbogast Peter Mushi – Francis Maria Libermann School Director.
  4. Fr. Zeno Lelo Masawe, C.S.Sp. – From Pemba Island.
  5. Fr. Stephan Macha AJ.

DIOCESAN PRESBYTERY COUNCIL:
Due to the limited number of Presbytery in the diocese – The Council will comprise all the Clerics permanently ministering in the diocese.


DIOCESAN FINANCIAL COMMITTEE:
These will comprise all the consultative Council members plus the procurator of the diocese who is as well responsible for projects. Thus the Financial Committee will have six members in total- The lay member from the laity will be co-opted by reading the signs of times.
N.B. Need of school chaplain waiting for consultation.
