"HOW DO YOU HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD?"

It was on 11th April 2017, the day Rt Rev. Bishop Augustino Shao C.S.Sp, the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Zanzibar spent the whole of the day in meditation and relflections on our vocation and the pastoral challanges of the modern world. The Reflection was guided by the Sacred Scipture from 1Sam 3:1-18.

Bishop called his priests to recall the journey to the prestly vocation and the pastoral challanges put in the diocese as well as worldwide.

He call his priest to reflect on the call of Samwel. That the voice of God is gradually folding itself in reading and meditating on Sacred Scripture and be a man of Prayer. He said with the a lot of challenges, a priest should be of STRONG FAITH to read signs of time in pastoral life. This is the Power of Sacraments, it should be highly respected and honoured in theadministering of the Sacraments. In reference to (L.G. #28) A priest should be available and fulfill his responsibilities.

by Being Priest it does not remove the humanity in a priest. He needs to live his priesthood accordingly in the help of God's Grace. So it is your responsibility to pray for and help them to dwell in their priestly life and services.

Priest as Minister of Sacraments, the Mystery of Sacraments the Word of God to be the Life of a Priest and to know it. He refered the quote of st Jerome " The ignorance of the Bible is the ignorance of Christ"

The reflection touches also the TREE VIRTUES of Priestly live

• CHASTITY AND
• POVERTY

THESE HELPS A CLERIC TO SERVE GOD AND RECEIVE ALL WHAT IS FROM GOD FREELY.

The day ended with Chrism Mass at the St Joseph Cathedral of Zanzibar. It was in this mass holy oil was blessed.The Bishop led the Holy Mass and isisted on the Love of God, and the love of the community. Also the resoponsibility of the faithful to love and pray for their priests and help them in the ministry. Then it was followed by the AGAPE in the upper room bishop, preists and nuns those who are doing their apostolate in the Catholic Diocese of Zanzibar. (wait for the whole homily and talk with hisbeloved Priests.

This has been very touching message moving with lent season. Jesus Whow was condemned to death unjustly, he forgave his persecutors."Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing."(LK.23:34)

It is through Our Lord Jesus Christ we get life in its fullness.(Jn.10:10) and this is what is needed in our families.
