HEKIMA SEMINARY CHEJU ZANZIBAR

The Catholic Church of Zanzibar under the lordiship Bishop Augustine Shao, C.S.Sp evangelizes Unity and ones through holistic education. it is through educatin a person can be resqued in thi challenging world.

2018 Marks "the humble beginning of Hekima Seminary-Cheju" with 10 pupils. Uniquely seven boys and three girls. Sr. Claudia Aya ESM was the first headmistress assisted by Fr. John Mfoi and Fr. Isaac Goza, teachers Timothy Yusuf and Daud Joseph Nkinga. On the screen were Srs Ida Nandudu and Monica Shayo ESS. Today 7th August, 2025 the seminary has grown to full primary school with Pre-and Primary from stds 1-7 with 204 pupils. Behind the seen is the nursery kids which feeds our primary every year.

Our school motto: Education is the Light.

We believe education illuminates the path towards knowledge, understanding, and progress, while ignorance leads to darkness and limitations. It signifies education's ability to empower individuals, enabling them to overcome challenges, achieve their potential, and contribute to societal advancement. 

VISION: To help the children to grow in fear of God and respect of humanity focusing on their goal of Education.
